Piston or DGI..Which is more accurate?

Get a 16" midlength basic Noveske upper and find a decent lower from somewhere. You can spend as much money on it afterwards and add whatever fits your needs.

I too am looking to get into the AR club. Who sells this noveske you speek of? I'm looking for an entry AR, something I can add to.

Questar imported my first Noveske and has mentioned that they have a permit right now. I'm ordering another in the new year. I just have to figure out which I want.

Noveske is Not your Entry AR. ;)
An Noveske Upper can cost more than a Basic Rifle..$1600+

An entry Rifle would be a Stag or CMMG, RRA, etc. Many topics on Which AR to get started with elsewhere in this forum.

FWIW, ^The difference between a standard Noveske AR and a standard Stag Arms AR is Noveske uses his own barrel, Stag Arms use ER Shaw barrels. Noveske gets the rest of his rifle from Continental (Stag Arms). I'm not sharing trade secrets from CMT, that info comes from Noveske, he'll tell whoever asks.

Lot's of MOA shooting Stag-15 carbines out there.

Cheers.

Thanks so much for the info guys, its greatly appreciated.

Feel free to keep the thread going on tho in the event a "new to AR' guy comes along with the same question.

Thanks,
Tim

Noveske now gets alot of his stuff from Vltor. Like the VIS and MUR uppers.

I can't speak for some of the other brands, but my Rock River Arms Varmint with the 20" heavy barrel will regularly shoot under a half inch at 100 yds with Hornady 55gr V-max factory shells. Whatever you get, shoot it lots!

My statement of a Entry Rifle was in regards to Price. Not Quality.
I don't see Noveskes basic rifle being any better than all the other quality rifles out there....
...But their Stainless - polygonal rifling and Match Mod 0 chamber is a little above standard.
