I'm not happy with this pitted junk Numrich sent me that was supposed to be a milled Beretta trigger group. It has a new hammer and a mixmaster of parts. Can this pitting be polished out or will it look like crap when parkerized .The return cost including the $35 International fee I was hosed for will be horrible. Also nailed for $23 duty on top of it! No one there to talk too about the crap till Tuesday.Could have got a stamped Breda but have a Beretta receiver.Harold

Don't parkerize it this state...it will only get worse. You can polish it out then park. Should be Ok. Disappointing for sure...I'd let Numrich know of you concern.

Sorry manm that sucks.

Numrich parts for the garand are junk, sorry but their decent parts are long since gone...The reason the trigger groups are $87.00 is that they are mix master pitted crap. They send this crap to Canadians because they know we won't probably send it back. I would strip the usable parts then look on ebay in italy or greece for a decent one.

Buyers beware, Numrich Garand parts are ####.

I've been getting parts for various guns from them for years. Is it just the military surplus that has run out?

Something like half the time, I get junk on the first try, and send it back with a tersely worded note. Without fail, the second shipment turns out good. I think they send their junk to Canada on purpose.

Blasting would not be sufficient either. It needs to be filed, then draw-saned with emery paper 120 and then 180 grit, and finally bead or sand blasted before it would look factory fresh. It takes an experienced metal man to keep the original lines and not have it look "melted" or like it was leaned hard on a buffing wheel.

Unless you have metal working experience, I'd suggest getting a replacement housing and trigger guard, then transplanting the parts over.

Is there anything wrong or needs fitting with a stamped unit over milled? The Bredas are supposed to be G-VG condition.I'll end up with a mixmaster but I guess as long as it's not hard on the eyes and shoots what the heck. One more thing can I swap out the trigger guard and main trigger body again stamped/milled?

The parts interchange. A trigger housing will accept either a stamped or milled guard.
As Claven2 suggested, that housing and guard could be drawfiled, sanded, blasted and parked. The parts would clean up nicely.

Like Claven, I've sometimes received junk, but returning is easy and usually what I get back is good. I stay polite throughout the whole process of course. :)

The easy will not be dealing with the twits at Customs so I don't get nailed again on the rebound.Plus shipping both ways.

Looks like some of us are keeping Numrich busy, Ive a box of parts coming from them also. I had some problems on ordering but they where more than helpful getting things worked out. I hope the Bredas are nice shape as discribed. Dave

I was thinking of ordering from them as well. I'm guessing the gas cylinders and op rods are crap. I guess I shouldn't be too concerned with trying to match manufacturers as long as I have quality parts. I'd like to see what you guys who have ordered get in the way of quality. Please post pics. Also, is there a place to make a note when ordering, i.e. please do not send me pitted or rusted parts because I will send them back.
