A funny thing happened on the way moose hunting.

Some guys in Ontario were on their way north on HWY 11 moose hunting and stopped in Cochrane at a motel for the night. One guy look's up Pizza Pizza's phone number on his smart phone and orders some pizza and wings from a place just across the highway. When one of the guys goes to pick it up the store knows nothing of the order. He goes back to the motel and finds the order was placed to a Cochrane Alberta Pizza Pizza. He called the guy back in Alberta and said he was sorry but wouldn't be picking up tonight.
Always check the info that comes up on those phones.

To the OP, I can relate to your point about smart phones. There's this gorgeous blond who I've never met keeps sending me naked pictures of herself.

Bloody annoying.

Nephew did it a couple years ago, heading back at days end, ordered. Gets there and nothing. He had been working in Toronto and used the wrong #. Guy in TO still expected payment but hey come collect 200 miles away.

... and remember to bring the pizza.

I'm local to Cochrane, Ontario. No matter what you're Googling here, put Ontario in after you write Cochrane in the search bar (i.e. Cochrane Ontario Canada Post) because if you just enter Cochrane, your search will most likely lead to a business in Cochrane, Alberta. Just my experience.

I used to hear complaints about chains with centralized dispatching, forwarding orders to the wrong city. In fact, when the 911 system was being set up, there were similar stories. I haven't heard any for a while, so they must have gotten the bugs out.

That's because Cochrane, Alberta is a major center, so to speak. Love Ontarians ignorance.

Grizz

I was going to Banff and my GF made a reservation for us for dinner. We got to the restaurant and she went to the bathroom and I went to the hostess to check in. I was told there was no reservation under either name and we were scratching our heads because my GF had received a confirmation email. When she finally came to the hostess, turns out she had made a reservation for some place on the US east coast. Whoops.... We ended up being able to get a table and the call to cancel the reservation was one to remember.
