Gentlemen,
Ordnance looks like it reach the goal of 1000 M1 Garand Rifles per day. Now that is just at SA. Now that is moving on the PRODUCTION LINE.

Makes you wonder what Winchester is doing??

Without input from you guys no one learns anything Try to put in some info/question and we can learn more of the M1's History.

Some files have been seen before

Winchester had the same problems in WW1 with the P14.
If course thats what makes their stuff worth more on the collectors market.
Remington made most of the P14 bayonets because Winchester couldn't hack the program.

In any case Winchester was only a "fall back" supplier in case Springfield was sabatoged.

Winchester couldn't and still can't do alot of things it seems to me. Guess thats why they have went bankrupt 3 times so far. :p

With 1,000 rifles per day you could have everyone on this web forum have a M1 in 23 days.

Its a huge number of rifles being made at one plant, would have been something to take a tour and watch them work at making that many. :)
