Attached is information about an event planned for this spring. This is an opportunity to try your favorite vintage Battle Rifle on a top-notch range and at distances you may not normally have the opportunity to shoot at. As with previous "Ross Rifle Shoots", targets will be scored but the atmosphere will be relaxed and friendly, and there will be interesting rifles in use. If anyone has questions they can contact me at the e-mail given in the flyer.

Darn it! I am away that weekend. Looks like an awesome event

Would have brought out my K98 or Carcano Carbine had I been around.

I attended 2 years in a row and had a lot of fun a few years ago. Might be fun to try again but my eyes are getting pretty dim for irons that far out.

Looks like a great shoot!

It is a great time. Simply experiencing shooting on a range like this one, with spotters and marked targets, is worth the price of admission. I've personally attended two of the previous Ross Rifle shoots and many participants were surprised at everyone's ability to score with standard military iron sights at 300 or 400m. In the two events I entered I used SMLE, P134, M1917, and SVT 40. A big part of the fun is watching others shoot Garands, various Mausers, M39s, etc. Perhaps there will be a few Swiss rifles this year?
