sadly, Blackhawk's CQC Serpa (which looks very interesting) isn't made for real revolvers like a GP100. does anyone know who does make something like that, esp one that would have a release button at the trigger like the Serpa uses? i've got a Fobus but i'd like to try something different.

no nylon, no leather. that stuff's only good for #### flicks. i'd want plastic-fantastic!

Stuffing a fine gun like that in plastic? Why am I not surprised:confused:
Thought u were a Fobus-aholic from earlier posts. Personally, its a fine piece of leather for me but thats a matter of choice. I am sure that you are aware of other compatible frames whose holsters work for the GP100 so I'll not say anything.

i prefer the firm molded shape that plastics give (and yeah, i'd consider kydex a plastic). just not a fan of leather, and HATE nylon.

yes, i know - S&W 686 is pretty similar, but i believe the pastics tend to be formed for a specific shape and not a generic outline (unlike leather which is somewhat pliable). i do like my Fobus (i'm not brand-myopic, just cost-effective), but i'd like to try something with a different retention scheme, and i think that the BH CQC Serpa is a level 2 which i'd like.

Only seen BladeTech in Kydex but no mechanical retention other than fricton fit. Same holster for GP/586/686/python
