Thought I would share.

Just tested this out on my dads ol cooey and it looks brand new on the plastic butt plate now!

Use a blow torch, I used a lighter.

I've seen vids of people doing the blowtorch trick to quad plastics and fender flares. Apparently the fix doesn't last very long as the plastic will fade again quickly. Might be ok on a gun as it won't be in the sun for extended periods
Another trick is to mix BLO with paint thinner 50/50 and rub and work it into the plastic
I've done it on my rzr fender flares and it seems to work ok

Spray 9 cleaner works well to get rid of the oxidization, then you need to protect it. I don’t like Armour All, there are better products that give UV protection.

Canadian tire sells a product called Wipe New, it does wonders on plastics and it lasts. I use it on all my vehicles to keep the black plastics like new and it turned my 1988 Honda goldwing plastics from light blue back to deep shiny black!
