I'm looking to get some projectiles in bulk and will make a trip to Southern Alberta to cut out middlemen/shipping costs. Seems like I have two options, BDX and Berrys.
I've shot BDX for a couple of years, no issues. Berrys is cheaper (1-1.5 cents each projectile) though, but also a but further of a trip for me.
Here is my question, is there really a large difference between plated and jacketed projectiles? From my research the jacketed projectiles have about 4 times the thickness compared to a plated projectile. Is there really any benefits of ponying up the dough and buying jacketed projectiles?
One thing I have heard is you can push the Jacketed projectiles and bit faster and not have to worry about stripping the jacket, is there any truth to this?
Edit: Is there anything that I would have to change if I do switch to plated projectiles?
Thanks for your input,
Ryan
