I think I am going to attempt an experiment. First I'll need to get my hands on a case trimmer.
I have some fireformed Winchester brass that I've already loaded up with Varget, CCI BR-4s, and 75gr. AMAX. I've already fired 50 of the 100 that I loaded up and the brass is all from the same bag. I'll take the spent 50 cases, clean them, then run them through a Redding full length body die (should fix the neck tension problem), trim the cases down to a uniform length and then perhaps sort them by weight. I'll then loaded the cases with the same loads as my current batch of 50 and I'll head to the range for a little side by side comparison.
Or maybe I should just buy some Lapua brass ...
