I had one that I found to be pretty fussy with a fair number of failures to feed or eject. I remember guys posting about having to do a fair amount of tinkering to improve the reliability. (lightening the slide, experimenting with different springs, trying multiple types of ammo etc) They have a reputation of being quite picky about ammo. Is there a reason you're considering one of these over a more traditional .22 semi like a Browning Buck Mark or a Ruger?

FWIW I just shot a rimfire steel match on Saturday with my Buck Mark Camper. Zero issues over 5 stages and 125 rounds of bulk ammo.

I got one of the first generation K22 X-Trims from DLASK a couple of years ago. It was pretty picky on ammo when I first got it. Grand Power made some improvements in the next generation of K22 X-Trims to improve that (lighter slide & revised dual recoil spring setup). I had my slide modified and installed the new dual recoil spring setup and find it's much better on a wider selection of ammo, although the preference is usually still 40gr.

What I really like is that it's the same frame and sights as my X-Calibur, so it makes for some good cheap IPSC practice as it fits the same holster and mag pouches.

The K22S was already pretty reliable with a wider range of ammo.
