Hey everyone I'm having an issue after resizing I have a visible line half way around the case at the bottom just above the rim on the case. It only goes half way around but is enough of a crease to catch a nail on.
I'm using Lyman dies in a rock crusher press. Any ideas why? Will it cause a problem?
Federal and blazer cases thanks. Can email a pic if anyone wants to see!d:h:

I will take a WAG

1. You are using a carbide die and sizing too far down the case.

2. And either the shell holder is off center or else the cases have a bulge on one side.

3. All of the above.

Ya I'm using carbide dies
1/4 turn after shell holder contact
Always in the same spot on the die no matter where I turn the shell holder
I'll check if there is somthing in the ram

A couple of things to try:
1. Screw the sizing die in until it touches the shell holder and lock into place. Carbide dies don't usually require the extra 1/4 turn.
2. Lightly lube your brass.
Hope this helps.

Some of your brass may have been fired from a generous chamber. Just resize and carry on.

If your die isn't kissing the shell plate, you're not fully sizing them. Not sure why some guys are saying they don't need to touch. The 9mm case has a slight taper and not straight walled. Not fully sizing them can be a future cause for feeding issues on a tighter chambered barrel.
