To condemn people with vast experience, that you don't know, is beyond rude.
Don't insult people that you are asking for favours.
Your ignorance is showing.

I’ll note that the other evaluation thread regarding the Fox Model B started by Lowenhart has disappeared. Too bad. The two threads are/were great examples of someone looking for information from people he doesn’t know and then being unhappy with what he learns.
Are these recent posts just someone
pre-advertizing? (EE)
Or an attempt to put value where it does not really belong ??
What I truly learned from this ,is that many people writing in evaluation threads are just scavengers looking for an opportunity to pay 50 cents on a dollar for a good gunI’ll note that the other evaluation thread regarding the Fox Model B started by Lowenhart has disappeared. P.S. I appreciate those who was honest and have provided some knowledgeable information for me to learn about this gun
I guess that I would not be trying to get some price expertise anymore for my other unique guns and if decide to sell any, then just surf the net for the information,to save me some,,agony,,
Regards
I can’t speak for anyone else but given that you quoted me, I’m assuming this is partly directed at me. So far, there hasn’t been a gun you have started a thread on that I am even remotely interested in. I wouldn’t even buy them to flip them. To suggest people are playing down the value because they want to buy your guns cheap is just foolishness. You don’t even have the nutz to actually admit what you are trying to find out (price/value) at the start of each thread.
You asked for our opinion. We gave it. The crowd turned on you when you started arguing. As was noted before, these guns are in very fine condition. No one is challenging that. It’s your estimation that all the value comes from condition with little regard for original quality and configuration.
This is a not particularly collectible 7 pound plus tightly choked 12 gauge. I doubt you’ve been following it but the market for guns like this has tanked. Low to mid quality, heavy, fixed choke SxS in 12 gauge. They can’t give them away in Great Britain. They sit on Gunbroker and Gunsinternational for months and years when the sellers fail to adjust their expectations to the actual market conditions. Your Fox was indeed a 20 gauge and a premium is paid for small bores. But it’s still a crudely built boat paddle of a gun. Your collection of “Unique guns”? So far what we have seen are the epitome of cheaply made, mass produced factory guns. Nothing unique about them.
At the end of the day you got what you asked for…..some free advice. It’s worth, as always, what you paid for it. Complaining about the free advice you asked for and the people who gave it is just a #### move.

I have the same gun except in 20 GA, mines a 1963.. Perhaps 3-4 years ago, I tried to sell it, had a.thread much like this asking questions. Learned something here, model 8.
Anyways, lots of interest. One in particular....pictures/text.....3 or 4 days for him to respond.....this went on and on and on. Weeks. Then a 50% offer. Have a extensive ignore list, most I don't remember why. Never forget that one, quit buying and selling for many months after that.
Several posts here in this thread by him.
Shotgun still here, 4 years older, mint....too pretty to use. Even so I would value yours at 7-900.......as a usable firearm, not attaching any value for provenance/history. Most of these I saw when looking for info were 12ga, so maybe I'm high$.Check gunbroker, although the US market is really different. The shotguns in tradex .......look at the descriptions( from memory without actually looking now) less money....lots of marks, cracks, chips of wood missing, minimal case hardening, lots of bluing worn off. It's apples and oranges, almost literally something used as a punt paddle vs a time capsule.
