I assume that Sako would be on the list.

You need to meet all Australian requirements,as well as the Canadian requirements.

"...Sako would be on the list..." Apparently. Goble's, here in London, sells(well, they list it. Whether or not they actually have any is another thing.) it. 22PPC, 6mm PPC and 9.3 x 66. Former two runs $63.79 per 20. The latter $111.95 per 20.
They list brass for these too. $32.69 per 20 for the PPC's. $44.79 per 20 for the 9.3.
They do ship within Canada. Still won't be cheap, but it'd be less than shipping from the other side of the Earth. Mind you, this doesn't help if you're looking at other cartridges.

Your right doesn't help. For the life of me I can not locate any ammo for my Sako L46 in 7x33 Sako in NA. I did find some cases made by Bertram but they are substandard and do not hold up. The Australian source has original Sako brass and cartridges. Of course the other problem I have is locating projectiles that are 78 gr the smallest I can find in NA are 100gr.

Good ideal if was not for the fact that it is the first mass produced Sako rifle.
