Looking at my two handi rifles I suspect the forearms are countured to the barrel it is attached to, meanwhile the buttstock and receiver look the same.

IIRC H&R has a 1 800 number listed on their website. Also a search through the greybeard forum might help.
 
Yea. I forgot about grey beards! I sent gravel a message and they have answered back and confirmed stocks are interchangeable. Just clarifying about the front with them.
 
ive got an m4 style collapsing stock kit for the h and r rifles it is interchangeable on all the single shot rifles and shotguns
