Should I get ya to bring the rifle over for a tear-down/inspect??

Drop me a shout...

If your in range of NS give him a shout. Take some spent casings with you. What kind of fodder are you using etc, etc, etc.

Sorry about the long reply.

NS, I'll give you a call in a few minutes here to set something up whereby I can bring it by. Bittermansbro, its not a plugged gas system. I've checked everything for plugging. The only thing left for me to do is soak everything in CLP. But come to think of it, I did notice lots of carbon on the upper and lower piston covers during my last cleaning session. Is it possible that I'm getting some kind of blowby?
Dosing, what do you mean by fodder?

Rifle examined today at the range, and test-fired.

Issue appears to have been the rimmed cartridges not getting staggered in the magazine properly, resulting in some jams.

Methods of loading strippers (Stripper clips) discussed and demonstrated, and better grip on rifle briefed too.

Should be able to tune the gas system down a bit now.

Make sure the flutes in the chamber are cleaned with a wire brush. They tend to fill in a bit with varnished cases and the case will stick a bit more than usual and using a higher gas setting. Cheers.
