I was taking my Lee Enfield Mk4 No1 and my Lee Enfield Jungle Carbine out of a carrying case and found this sitting in the foam. I am not sure if it belongs to either of the rifles; I cannot identify the component. The only other thing I carried in that case was my AR15 (back when I was not a crime to do so) and a more modern Remington rifle. I am certain it's not from either of those. My brother-in-law had borrowed the case to transport some firearms he purchased in Regina back to his farm, so the bit may belong to whatever he was carrying in it, but he doesn't recognise the part. So now I'm second guessing that it came from one my Enfields.

It is a clip that is 2 cm long, 4 mm wide, and the metal varies in thickness from less than 1 mm at the ends to about 1.5 mm in the curved portion. At the very end of the short end of the clip is a raised dot / detent.

I would sure appreciate any help in identifying it. Thanks.

Yeah extractor spring, likely a screw and extractor missing too.

Thanks for that suggestion. I took the rifle to a friend who is extremely knowledgeable about LE's and he checked it over and it was only the spring that had popped out. It's all good now. I really appreciate the reply.
