Alright guys are you ready for this. I was cleaning my CZ 858 Tactical 2 with windex and my usual method is to hold the gun over the toilet and spray away with the windex and some hot water. So I have been doing this awhile with no issues. Can anyone guess what piece I forgot to take out of the gun before I did this. Well it was the gas piston spring, and it fell into my toilet I'm sure. Problem is I wiped the gun down to dry off the excess water/windex with some toilet paper and through it in the toilet. FLUSHHHHH!!!!!!! So I cleaned the gun put it back together and now I am missing the gas piston spring. I see wolverine sells the piston and spring but I was hoping someone knows where I could get just the spring or something similar. I already tried an old 1911 recoil spring but it is too stiff and the piston won't fit through it. Any ideas, or extra springs anyone.

It might be in the p trap below the toilet that prevents sewer gases from venting into your house.

You definitely want to use the exact same spring - have you thought about a rare earth magnet and either a long wire or a long string to try to fish it out?

No as I said before there was a bunch of toilet paper on top of it so Im sure it is gone. I have flushed all kinds of #### down my toilet im sure it is gone.

HELP ME PLEASE I NEED MY CZ I CAN"T AFFORD TO SHOOT MY .308 HALF AS MUCH.

I read that - yes, but was giving you specific advice since all kinds of things that are heavier than toilet paper or crap get stuck in the P trap. You could try a magnet and invest 5 minutes of time, but I guess you have all the answers. Sorry to waste your time.

Ahahahahah.... Thanks I needed a good laugh...Sorry no help to you, but try what cjs said.
Maybe you'll find your watch or a fishing lure at worst...

Are you on a septic tank or sewer system? If your on septic, well, you could go for a "swim". Also, Hot water is all you need, the belief is Windex works for corrosive ammo because the Ammonia, being a base, neutralizes the Acidic properties of the ammo. But the ammo is corrosive because of salts in the primers. The salt attracts moisture causing rust. Hot water will dissolve the salts and flush them away. Ammonia does not eliminate Salt, at least not that I know of.

The amonia in windex is not for the corrosive ammo, windex is made up of mostly water anyway, the little bit of amonia just starts to work on the copper fouling.

i know what you mean , last year i decided to get out of my 7.62 nato altogether.

i got a spare spring , PM me , your name and address and i will send it to you for free , it was worth a laugh . :D

i just use hot water , no windex.

Let me guess. You were one of those kids who use to flush their toys down the crapper just to see them spin around the bowel. Then you'd take just enough toilet paper from the roll pegged on the wall, flush & then watch that spin off until it backed up the whole sh!taronnie. Start crying when your blankey got wet & your poor old man would have to spend an hour and a half unclogging the thing after work just so he could have a dump!
Am I wrong?:D
