Hey I'm searching on behalf of my uncle. We are located near Brockville/Kingston/Ottawa Ontario. If he could drive to pick it up, that would be better than shipping to make sure he gets it asap. He'd even buy a box off a person lol just anything he could deer hunt with.

Thanks in advance! Steve

Hey Steve, I'm not really close and I'm not really in the market of getting rid of any of my 6mm rem stuff (just the opposite really), but I wouldn't want someone to miss out on a hunt. If he is in a jam message me and I would spare a box.
Im in Oro-Medonte just north of Barrie Ont.

Lol I was looking pre-covid for brass, my local shop laughed at me when I told them what I wanted. Apparently quite the rareity in this neck of the woods. Hope the OP has more luck

You can neck down and resize 7X57 or 8X57 to 6 mm with ease. The same using 30-06 and considerably more effort also works.

DGY on here just reformed a bunch of 30-06 to 8X57, and was pleasantly surprised how simple it was.

Too bad you were not close. I have 2 - 6mm Remington rifles, and have plenty
of brass and bullets for them. I could easily spared components to load for him.
Dave.

I found a bag of 50 new Remington brass on the EE. And Canada Post promptly lost it even though they marked it delivered! :(
I did get my money back through a claim thanks to the seller but had to resize my 257 Roberts brass to 6mm which was also super easy.

Thanks for the help guys! Next deer season will be no problem for him, I'm sure we can find something by then. But this one is a bit of a time crunch. He accidentally bought a box of 6mm Creedmore, showed it to me last night and I was like, pump the brakes those won't do lol

Lyle, I'll ask him where he's hunting and it might be worth it for him to drive out to you. Thanks for the offer either way!

He has a Ruger Deerfield to use as well, but the 6mm is his longer range scoped rifle. He's obv not much of a gun guy, he's just using stuff he inherited from his dad.

It is a great excuse to buy a new gun or re-barrel the ol' 6mm :)

Because you can’t find ammo a week before the season is not a real reason to rebarrel a 6mm Rem.
There is lots of brass around but you need just a bit of anticipation

Just load him up 50 rounds or so. Should last all his hunting seasons. - dan
