Please help me to identify these 49 and 58 sks rifles.

You should also take into account the fact that at the present moment the market is in a state of chaos due to a gun ban announced by the Libs. Nobody knows whether or not the SKS's become prohibited or not. Pretty bad time for selling any semi-auto firearms.

whats the star on the receiver worth today after a year and half?

The prices on the EE are within $400-600 depending on the condition. The prices for the Russian/Chinese SKSs seem to stabilize in that range and my guess is that they will not go up in the foreseeable future. But that's just my guess. The Yugos are a bit higher at around $750 but I've never been interested in one.

any premium for having a star on the receiver? i just saw a very good cond with a star sell for $400 shipped .

I think that the overall condition plus rarity (for collectors) are more important than a star on the receiver. I have a 1957 letter series SKS with an original laminate stock that has no star anywhere to be seen. Very nice bluing all over. It's either non-refurbished or just lightly refurbished since it has no refurbishment mark at all. The bore is excellent. I have no intention to sell it (yet).
