Hi All,

I am helping a friend sell some of her passed husbands rifles and would like your help on establishing valve of this uncommon piece please.

It is an early production number, in the 7000s from 1891. It appears to be all stock and unmodified and in good shape. It has been fitted with a safety so I gues that makes it a /10.

Thanks in advance!

It’s missing the trigger guard at a minimum.

Last I saw for sale was at 2500$ but it had a cut stock (duffle cut). Unsure of the final sale price.

Previous two before that was about 5 years ago and they were 1600$+tax and shipping. Both were complete without issues though.

Thank you. I will search through the stuff to see if the trigger guard is around. Not sure how that would go missing lol. I appreciate your input here and experience with pricing. Not too common

They aren’t common at all.

Something I have always wanted, I tried to buy that duffle cut one, until I found out it was duffle cut. But if complete and all matching 2500$ is likely achievable.

Nice early one you’ve got there. A Krag in the 7000 range puts it right at the start of Danish production, so that already bumps the collector interest a bit. Condition looks solid from the pics and being unmolested is a big plus. The added safety does make it a /10 as you said, so that dings it slightly for the purists but doesn’t kill the value.

Thanks, it does seem like a pretty great survivor. From my limited experience I don't think many escaped the /10 treatment. I think that is the second year of production if youtube is correct. The more I learn about it the more I like it. Thank you.
