I just got this rifle for free and was wondering if anyone can tell what it is?
Once I find out what it is ill see if I can find the parts to put it back to shooting shape.

Started off as an AG-42 (Avtomatsgevaer 1942), converted to B standard after WW2.

Tilting-block (basic Tokarev/Saive system) gas-operated semi-auto. Pistonless gas system copied on th AR-10, AR-15, M-16 etc.

Likely the single most accurate semi-auto rifle ever built.

VERY loud, almost NO recoil.

REALLY hope you have the rest of the parts.

Dam, that's a lot!!

Magazine alone is going to be $100.00, if you can find one !

"...AG42B..." Contemporary of the M1 Rifle. The Yanks like to brag about the M1 being the first semi-auto, but it was the first used by a major power. Even though, the U.S. wasn't a major power at the start of the war.
Gunparts has some Ag42B parts. You have any of the bolt assembly parts? There appear to be roughly 15 parts for that alone. None of which are exactly inexpensive. They list 'em under Ljungman, not Sweden.

Keep your yes open in the Equipment Exchange, friend. You NEVER know what might pop up there.

You need the Bolt, Bolt Carrier, Action Cover Assembly and Safety Block. Parts ARE available to fit the Bolt to the Rifle, keep your headspace in spec.

Factory PARTS KIT which came with the rifle included spare Extractors, Firing-pins, FP Springs and so forth. Lots of guys have these.

They actually made NIGHT SIGHTS for these rifles (radioactive as hell, mind you!) and a very nice Blank Fire Adaptor so that the rifle could be used with those wooden-bulleted blanks.

Good luck!
