Please Help With Red Dot Problem

I just bought a 70$ NCStar DDAB red dot sight and mounted it on my ruger 22/45 MKIII Pistol. I took it to the range and all the rounds were falling about 9 inches low and 5 inches right. I adjusted the elevation and windage to the max which helped a little, but still about 5 inches low and 4 inches right. I tried taking the sight on and off about 20 times with no real change. The iron sights are deadly accurate from 30 yards but I tried the red dot from 5, 10, and 20 yards and they are all way off. I ensured the sight and rail were bolted down solid.

Does this mean I will be returning the sight ( a pain because it was shipped from Winnipeg to Saskatoon) or can anyone think of a possible cause/solution?

Thank you in advance for your time!

This is not the first thread this week(??)if not month related to these scopes......Depending on where you purhased, it may, or may not be worth taking it back.

Good luck with that.

Do you think this issue could at be related to my rail or the configuration of the pistol. It was drilled and tapped from factory and the rail is factory as well.

Funker, take is back, and don't buy another NCstar. this problem is more than common. Save some money and frustration and buy quality when you can. You can't fix bad.
