well, i really need help from you guys. i got a carbine course in oct and almost every thing are ready to go. got my hunting licence, gears all good to go and so on .i even got a new carbine made for this, almost done by dlask arms with a bushmaster lower. all i need ATF NIA 6. well, here is a problem, i just talk to the ATF firearm tech and he told me "no way in the hell you are taking that (carbine) to US". i have been down to US before with a rifle (ar180b) it was fine. now, whats going on?. last time i check ar-15 is ok as long as made in US with a 16 inchs barrel. now the plan i been working on for 3 months just went out of window. if you can please some one let me know what should i do.
ps i have three plans
1 just take a canadian made handgun(dlask 1911)
2 push my luck and do the paper work with carbine and handgun.
3 go with US made P 226 without a carbine (will work for sure but i dont want to)
sorry i dont have pic for carbne yet
here is pic

I would submit an accurately filled out form 6 and wait for approval. The good people who actually get your fax and approve or deny likely have more knowledge than the over worked Agent you spoke with on the phone. It helps if the paperwork is consistent between Canada and the US. ie. a 14.5" barrel with permanent FH is still going to be a 14.5" barrel on your Reg Cert. but will be 16.1+ on US form 6. It helps ease the process if all are matching...no necessary mind you but easier depending on who you get.
