Can someone tell me about a good hunting lodge in Ontario to go for one or two days of grouse hunting?
I’m looking for a place not more than 4-5 hours drive from Toronto.
I’ve never hunted before, and would like to try it out without too much trouble. I have also one or two friends coming with me.
So if anyone can advise me where I can go I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

There is lots of crown land between Kearney and algonquin park.lots of logging roads plus you can hunt sundays. maps are available from the mnr offices that show where the crown land is.Don't really know where any lodges are but there are Motels in huntsville or you could camp on the crown.
Get a duck license also .lots of ponds to jump shoot ducks.

Doesn't sound like a hunting lodge to me. Check out Ontario Out of Doors website or magazine for some lodging info. OFAH might have some info also

Check around Parry Sound. Just got back, lots of grouse! I know they have tons of cottage rentals etc. Worse comes to worse, rent a motel!

I just got back from pitching a tent and Grouse hunting yesterday. Softy my ass! Got six Grouse, but I still feel cold & wet!

Sometimes it's nice to have a dry, warm bed and somebody else to cook for you. A little pampering once in a while hunting is acceptable. I'ld love to go away for a week and have somebody else do all the work.
