Hi to all at CGN
Here is a good question for all the preppers:
What is the best all purpose survival rifle for North America? The best 1 !!!
The following factors considered:
Personal defense, and hunting (300 yards affective).
Must have both iron sights and rail for scope.
Must be proven reliable, rugged, and durable in all conditions.
Weight, cleaning, maintenance.
Both semi - auto and bolt action can be considered; although a bolt action is not good for a firefight.
The availability of parts and ammunition.
From what I have found via research you cannot place a 308 in a 7.62 chamber (overpressure); although, it is stated you can put a 7.62 in a 308 chamber.
The 223/5.56 Nato calibre does not have the North American big game capability for hunting, so not a consideration.
So 308 calibre it must be.
So here it is: What is the best 308 survival rifle today in North America
Please provide sound valid facts and reasoning only without arguments.
Sincere appreciation and regards,
A Celtic Knight. :canadaFlag:

BLR or BLR81
Funny thing, I just put on my BLR that Weaver Classic in 4x and it outshines
my Conquest on 4X.
Amazingly quick eye focus........up and on focus.
May just have to pull the new Leupold VX II 3-9x40 I put on the 358win.
