I am a southpaw and own a Sub 2000 Gen. 2. I really like the rifle but the only minor issue I find being a leftie is that I get a bit of powder coming back at me and hitting me on my right side of the face when shooting. Since I reload 9mm, I have been able to partly remedy this by trying different powders and loads. Some loads are cleaner and friendlier than others and send less back, your mileage might differ.
As far as ergonomics, I have had no issues. Some report that the magazine release gets in the way, but I have zero issues with that.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

I owned a Sub2000 for exactly one range trip. I found the "hot gas/powder specks on the right cheek" thing too annoying and sold it. If i was to buy another pistol carbine I think I'd look for one with the ejection port farther forward (mag well forward of the trigger guard rather than in the pistol grip) or one that could be switched to left hand election (Beretta CX4 and the TNW ASR come to mind?)

I don't have a beard but I could imagine the charging handle causing issues.

I had a Gen 1 for a while, and I don't remember having issues with it as a lefty. The reasons why I sold it were because of the cheap sights that were virtually useless...and my horrible experience with the SU-16 and getting rid of anything Kel-Tec as a matter of principle...lol.
