What ammo are you using ?

For the mag issues, I read yesterday in a thread that to make xcr pistol mag reliable you need to shorten the spring a bit (research before you proceed)

The 7.62x39 mags are rubbish. I have yet to cut my mag springs to aid in reliable feed. I load my mags 8/10 and haven't had an issue since. If your running a 7.5 barrel like I am it very well could be Gas issues. If the bottom of your mags are failing I'd probably get new ones or see magpul bottoms as a fix.

I bought surplus steel case ammo. But also bought Aquila brass case and it had the exact same issues. I have had several mags of steel work fine then it seems to start malfunctioning again. Also twice this happened. A rnd chambers I fire the rnd and my mag plate flies off and it and the spring goes flying and the rest of the rounds dump out. I think in both cases the empty case was stuck in the chamber. I removed with a cleaning rod. It freaked me out when this happened. Last time I actually couldn't find the base plate. So it in the grass somewhere on the range.

Interesting

I have a Gen 2 7.5 NEA and have experienced almost everything you describe including the mags grenading for no apparent reason (at least twice)

I also have random FTEs, sometimes the bolt is locked in battery and doesn't move and sometimes a round almost gets ejected (i.e., its been pulled back and the front of it makes it out of the chamber but the rear gets caught by the bolt sliding forward again with a new round)
