The 8mm's are a much maligned group, and not much respect is given them. Never been popular with our neighbor to the south,
and the result has been under utilization of some fine chamberings. The 8x57, for example, is much like the 30-06 in performance,
but not many actually realize that. I own a 700 Classic in that chambering, and have taken a couple of moose and 4 Black bear with it.
I also own an 8mm Remington Magnum, which, with newer powders is a real powerhouse. A 220 A-Frame at 3100 fps is quite effective
on anything on this continent. I do not have a 325WSM, but a good friend does, and he loves it. However, I'm not keen on FB either. Dave.
