i bought a dlask dar22 action and kidd lightweight barrel. the barrel shank is way too thick. anyone know how to make it fit or should i send it back to dlask and have them do it?

I had the same prob with a tac sol.
I just sanded it down with fine sandpaper. Small increments of course as you don't need to remove much.
Tac Sol was aluminum,so I'm guessing it would be much easier than steel.
I tried the freezer way, it didn't work:)
 
I've read somewhere that kidd barrels are designed with about a .002 interference. I think they do it to eliminate any barrel droop if the receiver hole is on the high side of tolerance. Sand if you have to but it should be a tight fit. Check kidd's website and YouTube, I think I saw some info there
 
ive had this happen 3 times.

1st time i broke the barrel - dont ask!
2nd time i lightly touched up the barrel and heat/cold until fit
3rd time i just sent it to Dlask and had him do it for me

with how much barrels cost im always reluctant to sand them, if i had this happen again id probably just send it to Dlask again, was much easier.... trying to think if he even charged me to do it?
