My 2nd Maccabee reciever set is on its way back to Maccabee because the mags bind in the upper. Take the upper off and see how the mags fit in the lower by itself. Then put the upper on and try again, but don’t tighten down the bolt. It made a difference on mine. Contact Maccabee, he should be able to fix it. It’s probably the feed lips hitting in the same spot as mine.

My first set was exchanged by CSC because it was missing the spot for the charging handle to latch onto.

Maccabee seems to have taken a page out of BCL’s playbook on how not to do a product launch.

It’s not hard to get the price up there. My first ‘budget’ M16a1 Maccabee clone came to over $2200.

I haven’t added up all the prices yet for my 6.5 Grendel Maccabee that I’m still collection parts for, but will be over $4500 with optic.

You are right it is! I made that abundantly clear when talking to Wyatt on the phone. He is charging a premium price, and under delivering on product big time. Maccabees should all leave the factory flawless and 100% in spec & functional at this price point. No excuses.

I agree, after watching you try 10 different mags with both the upper attached and just the lower......it was crazy to see how many wouldn't drop free with the upper attached.

Agreed...I think I could have came in closer to 2500 all said and done with other enhancements.

The nice thing about the reciever set is you can make it as expensive as you want but will never get it under 1k due to the price of the slr. No 100 receiver sets like in the US but it is nr.

I'm seriously considering buying an SA20 and moving all of the parts to an SLR receiver. Under 3K about as much quality as you could want.

Plus, you get to pay $1000 NR tax on a gun that won't shoot any better than any other NR 5.56 rifle.

Lets see a 5 round group @ 100. It's a gun, not a painting. Nobody cares what it looks like if it's a total POS.
