Any .45 Colt factory ammo is going to be pretty mild, unless it comes from a boutique manufacturer like Buffalo Bore or Garrett Cartridges.

New 3rd generation Colt 1873.

.45 Black powder loadings were higher velocity than most current factory smokeless loads.

Don't limit yourself to "cowboy action" gamer loads.

45 Colt and your 3rd gen single action are much more capable than you are giving them credit for being.

SFRC has a sale but only Wolff reloads are available at the present. Canada Ammo has Ficocchi brand and am not familiar with it.
