How many did you buy? Obviously at least three. I can’t imagine anyone just buying one and paying three times more in shipping for one spring alone.
Around here, we give these little things away to people in need, mailed for $1.20 in postage for free.
I’ve noticed you changed your ad in the EE to justify your selling price implying the cost of one spring. Don’t fool yourself. Members here are smarter than the average bear. Clearly isn’t what it cost you having bought at least three if not many more.
I’m sure Simon would know exactly how many you bought from him.
I sure hope you’re not buying these springs from S&J and selling them here for a profit. The very same forum S&Js owner is a member of since before the inception of this website. The very same member who clarified your concern in this thread because you “don’t get it”.
He may not wish to sell anything to you in the future if that’s the case. You may even have your privileges revoked from the Exchange Forums here.

I think you should see help quick for mental help writing down all that story with supposition loll will make it clear i bought 3 not to make profit out of a 4.99 thing, just to get one and sell 2 to reduce price on springs from the high shipping price they charge. I sell it 10$ because thats what it cost me each with shipping 30/3 instead of buying at 20/1. No profit at all!! That way i could yes save money from shipping and also save some to 2 other guys interested to save half price too. Thats not called trying to make profit thats called be smart and avoid paying overprice for a small thing that should be cheap

Sorry I did not get back to this post sooner.
I have been working on some massive projects this year.
A few things .
While I'm the main gun guy at s&j my business partner for the last 20yrs has 3 degrees from Queens and is the head design Eng P. at a muti billion dollar company.
While I come up with most of the ideas he's the brains on the T&E side.
We are not NEA we don,t beta test on our clients.
This spring we made 5yrs ago due to supply issues and wanting ro make somthing just a,little bit better.
Just like our million cycle shiotgun magazine spring, it is a different compression rate heat treatinf and thickness.
There are reason why we do this which I wont go into as this is part of out design process.
Our spring gives the same amount of tension as the remington police spring.
We uses to get the same question about our magtub spring. But with more then 600,000 of those sold we get less of those questions now.
On shipping costs. Over the last almost 20 years we have had issues with shopping small metal parts via letter mail.
They gets stuck in the letter mail machines and jam up and we get a nasty letter from Canada post. So we don't do it.
To add to that. We make 187 different shotgun parts.Very few people order just one part. So the cost of shipping is quite lot on most orders .
Last thing as it's been a crap day having had 2 teeth pulled.
We are always looking for feed back.
I'd rather see people come up with ideas then get pissed off.
