My dad loads for a 7mm-08 Tikka with 139 gr sst hornady bullett, a load I got off hogdon reloading site, says max load of 51gr compressed of powder, way to hot a load, he even dropped it down couple still hot, pressure on bolt, so I've got 3 lbs ..lol, and I have a browning hells canyon 7mm-08, cva scout 7mm-08, and dad has a Tikka, wondering if some one has some experience with some good load data with 139gr hornady sst and stall ball 6.5 power, with ftper second, please and thank you

I've never used Stabal 6.5 with 139 SST's- rifle just didn't like the SST's.
I did work a load up with 140 Nosler BT and Stabal, started at 44 gr and went up to 48.1 gr (max from Hodgdon with 140 Swift was 48.5) no pressure but getting lower than book speed ~ 2880 fps, went back to 47.8 as that was the most accurate but still one getting 2" groups and 2840ish. Since I had a more accurate and faster Horn 138 Interlock with H4350 I stopped playing with that loading. A few weeks ago I started to work a 150 gr Partition with Stabal, used 150 TTSX data from Hodgdon so started at 45 gr and went to 47.5 with no pressure signs (max listed is 49.2 150 TTSX or 48.5 with 150 Sierra), found an accurate ~ 1" group at 47 going 2730-2750 fps so that's as high as I went. Getting real pricey testing these days so that will work for my needs and called it good.
Its was out of a Weatherby Vanguard 7-08 with a 24" barrel
