Twist rate was measured in the 54
If my math is right... I marked the ramrod
Put patch on jag. Pushed it down..
Turned rod with a mark at 12 o clock. Pulled rod
Until got half a rotation as barrels only 24" long
Got almost 18" traveled.. From muzzle to mark on rod...so...a 1 :36" twist perhaps...id say someone made it as a bullet gun..to shoot conicals..gun did
Come from alaska...big critters roaming there. Id only
Imagine they wanted a big bore Muzzleloader shooting big conicals..
