Depends what you plan on using it for. One of the new prc's would be cool. Is it for long range, short range, up close? Not sure how difficult it is to change the bolt face for something in the .473 range but that would open up a lot of options.

You will spend a bunch of money rebarreling, dies, brass and likely won’t get the versatility you have now. If the gun is accurate, spend some money on a nice scope, reloading setup, do the trigger and be happy. The grass isn’t greener then a 7mm Rem Mag imo.

I already have lots of nice optics, dies, powders, primers, brass of all sorts...decent presses...and a couple other 7mm mags.. I'm already down that rabbit hole hahaha...just looking for something new and exciting to try...and I guess wanting to learn a bit about the whole process... cheers

I have the same dilemma with my 7mm RM. Every once in a while I think I will turn it into a 300 WM or something but if you can’t justify buying the hunting rifle in the caliber you want to get to in the first place, rebarreling is not a better route to get there.

yup

I have a 7mmRM and a 300WM, 338WM, 325WSM, but I keep going back to the 25-06Rem for deer hunting

the 7mmRM is a good do everything rifle.

I know what you need, 25WSM, just neck down a 270WSM :)
