I cannot remove the flashhider on my M305 The castle nut is loose but the hider still will not come off. I have removed the flashhider off of real M14's with ease but with no luck with this M305. I have brought it to several of buddies who have a fair amount of knowledge regarding firearms. After several attempts to remove it I get the same response from them. " Cut it off." It must be removed as a straightness gauge will not pass through it with ease. Any suggestion on removing it?

Thanks

Thanks, we did basicly what was in the video. The metal was so soft on the flashhider that the area where the barstock rested it just bent the metal. We have no square edge to place a piece of barstock to get a good seat to receive an impact. I may just use a mini grinder and take my time. Thanks again for the info.

I believe some of 'em, if not all, are soldered/tack welded in place. PM Hungry to be sure.
"...may just use a mini grinder..." Get a diamond wheel for a rotary tool. Finer cut.

Thanks all. I did use a mini grinder in the spotwelds just enough to as to not go all the way through. One hit from the hammer and bar removed the flash hider with ease.
