There is only about .7 gn difference of powder capacity between the 6.5 creedmoor and the .260 if loaded with the heavy 6.5mm bullets. I have been reading between the two as i am also trying to decided between the two. From what i gather, if you want to reload, go the .260, better brass (lapua, nosler, norma brass is available). I have read that Hornady 6.5 creedmoor brass is soft. If you just want to buy factory loads off the shelf, go 6.5 creedmoor. Hornady has a good load with the 140 gn A-Max. They state on their box 2710 fps from a 24" barrel. I have read people have got close to 2850 fps with a 28" barrel.
