I have some 55gr nosler ballistic tips and some superformance powder
can someone tell me a min and max for the gr of powder for a 55gr 22-250 load with superformance powder!

can,t find it on the hogdgon web site for a 55gr

Just start below 2 grs and work up you should be able to go a little above this load from Hodgdons web page with 60gr

60 GR. HDY V-MAX Hodgdon Suprform .224" 2.350" 39.0 3390 45,500 PSI 43.0C 3738 60,000 PSI
 
Go buy hornadays latest manual all that info is in there or get the hogdon annual relaodin manual

hometownhero i am kinda confused whats different from the superformance on the shelf as a component as to what hornaday loads with ??

All the factory ammo is all a different mixture depending on the caliber. The stuff that you can buy to relaod with is one of those mixes that will only work for some loads. Hornady has them listed for what you can use it for. This info was in a press release from hodgdon and hornady.

BECAUSE HORNADY SAID SO. Read what I had posted already. When superformance pwrder came out they had a warning saying not to load with any caliber except what they published data for and its not the same stuff you gen in factory ammo.

No I dont. I was really interested in that powder when it came out as the superformance varmint works really well in my 223. But no data for it and it was recommended to only use for what they have developed. Varget shoots just as good for me and lots of data for it.
