Please school me on rimfire sbr rules

would the addition and or removal of the compensator or flash hider not be 'or by other means'?

at the end of the day Rain is right, assume they fine gentlemen from the RCMP lab are out to get you and base your decision off of that.
if i had to make a choice to go 26 1/4 or 26 im going with the extra 1/4".
my license and collection are worth more to me then 1/4" of barrel.

Thats how I see it.

I'm no lawyer and have no plan to go down as a martyr like Bruce Montague because of a debate over 1/4"

Barrel length is exactly that, the length of the barrel, it does not include muzzle devices. Overall length is exactly that, the complete length of the firearm from the end of the stock the end of the barrel which includes any muzzle device. End thread and did I say length enough?

thats what this entire thread is being haggled over.
my vote is the comp dosnt count in the OAL since you can just pop it off.
stock action barrel = OAL

i could call the local RCMP and ask them but they would have no idea what im talking about.

with the laws written as loosy-goosy as they are its all up to interpretation.
could a lawyer get you off if your gun is under 26" OAL without your comp?
who knows, but im not gonna be the one to find out how a judge would interpret it so ill keep mine over without a comp so im 100% safe.
