I heard about this a while back...place pellets on a small tray, spray them down with pledge and then bake them in a toaster oven for a while...does this do anything other then P.O. the wife?

sounds like a waste.. it would be a very thin coating that would rub off quickly. Better to moly coat, or try some thinned out Alox bullut lube. One of those tiny Lee Alox bottles for 5-6 bucks will do many thousands of pellets I would imagine. Squirt it on and slowly tumble in a jewelers tumbler or something slow and with a soft side container (mine is rubber).

get a chrony and let us know the FPS difference before and after... Maybe you are on to something..

Lubricating pellets with furniture polish such as Pledge is often done by shooters using PCP (pre-charged pneumatic) rifles. Some do it because they believe it enhances accuracy; others do it because they hold that it results in a bore needing less frequent cleaning; others believe it does both; still others don't believe it does anything at all. Try it out and see. Spring piston air rifle shooters use various oils/lubricants such as Ballistol.
