Hi all.

First off, I am pretty new to firearms and I don't hunt deer or intend to for the foreseeable future. I am however interested in patterning my shotgun and doing some plinking with my .22.

Deer season started yesterday in the area I like to go (WMU 46) and what I would like to know is how to proceed without ****ing off too many guys enjoying their hunting season. Now I'm pretty sure I'm just as entitled to blast a grouse or two as they are to shoot deer but I want to know how it is seen by those of you who do hunt deer.

Would me shooting my shotgun a bunch interfere with your hunt? I don't know anything about deer hunting so if someone could enlighten me that would be great.

Thanks.

If you are hunting grouse and run into deer hunters, no big deal; you might even be doing them a favour by inadvertently pushing deer their way. If, however, you run into a guy on stand and you insist on hunting birds around him, he's likely to get annoyed as you will be interfering with his hunt.; that's like duck hunting within spitting distance of someone who is already set up in a good spot. In any event, should you bump into them, exchange pleasantries and or sightings move on and carry on with your hunt.

Chuckuster is about on the money.

You all have the same right to be there, being polite about the folks that cross your path is par for the course.

Some guys get in a knot over other guys finding 'their' spot. Whatever. Move on, and try not to be 'that' guy, eh.

Cheers
Trev
