plpfromnb's new CZ 452 stock, fresh off the press

I like my display stand better btw, I might just put something on it soon and take a picture just so you regret being to cheap to pay the postage.

True, it was a sweet stand. Although I don't recommend you put anything heavier than a rimfire on it.... hate to see that high end display case collapse on you!

ok.... after a little longer than I had planned on I have a completed rifle (other than finalizing the little bit of stock work very minor Dave.... no worries!) Big thanks to Guntech for a very quick turnaround time. Have not shot it yet... just came today.

An old timer at the Club made some very nice and functional stocks out of "Big Leaf Maple". Some had a Birdseye pattern and others had large growth rings.
He said some had been stored under his deck for 20 years and had been cut out in blanks with a chain saw.

Looks good, looking forward to a range report, to bad your going to shoot blaser ammo in that rig though...........

got out for a VERY fast range trip today. Couldn't wait to bed the action, finish sanding out some pressure points on the action and a section of barrel forearm contact to sand out... post pics in a few minutes... I think we have a good rifle here. Interesting to see how a little sanding and bedding will help... also so far have a total of 24 rounds through the barrel... barely enough to season the barrel with the bullets shot! 2 targets coming... one half decent with a small pull and one with 3 pulls out of 10... all me! getting dark... hurrying.... cold... and any other excuses you can think of that are normally used please insert them here. (aside from user error... that NEVER happens)

First is a 10 shot group, second is a 5 shot group... the way I look at it is 12 out of 15 shots at the same point of impact and well under dime size.... I call a good start to this project.

BTW... can you spot the 3 pulls!!?? :)

impressive...........make sure you have all of the paralax adjusted out of your scope, those fliers may not have been you........

you never declared the distance shot though..................and I will refrain from posting something assinine like....hey..nice 10 yard groups.......

so when do I get to play with it???

shot at the usual 25 yards for rimfire.... right?

50 yards with SK Rifle Match. I'm going to call Peter and order a variety pack of ammo to try as well.

The scope is a Leupold FX3 12x and the dot is very small... actually found it hard to aim at the same point on the red dot for all the shots.

You can play with it the next time you're in NB!!!

Once I get it as good as I can get it I'll ship it to you to tinker with if you'd like.
