What folks are trying to say (I think) is unless you have the correct license, you may not own one. If you're thinking of asking what license is correct, you don't have it. If you're asking here who has them, you probably don't have it. I may be wrong, but I doubt it. If you're now wondering "why the eff cant I just buy a semi auto carbine, that shoots 9mm and is made by HK, when I can buy one made by SIG or Cz" you've just run into the joy that is "named prohibited".

There is the Lusa...that's about as close as you're going to get without a 12(4 or 5) (not sure which it is) on the back of your licence.

You mean like the one below? You cannot legally acquire or own a 12(3) converted auto MP5 or a 12(5) manufactured semi-auto HK94 carbine, unless it has been fully deactivated and deregistered by a certified gunsmith and verifier. That is, unless you happened to own a firearm in the 12(3) or (5) classification at the time that the relevant Order in Council came into force. Sorry, but you are far too late to the party and are therefore Sh#t out of luck. How does it feel to be discriminated against on the basis of age or poor purchasing priorities back in the day?

This is the closest you can legally get to an MP5 in Canada today as an RPAL holder. The SIG MPX is a different beast, but roughly equivalent in terms of quality and performance:
