Greetings CGN, you'll have to forgive me if I've posted this thread in the wrong section but I thought the precision rifle guys may have the answers I'm looking for. The gun in question is a newer ruger m77 hawkeye stainless synthetic in 7mm rem mag. I'm looking for a bit more accuracy out of it, and the stock is at best not my favorite. I have worked my handloads over and am at 69.5 gr of RL22 with 168gr vlds, this load has given the best results. The main question I need answering is will a stock designed for a m77 MKII work for my gun (obviously with possible minor adjustments)? The only other stock that was in consideration was the Hogue with the full pillar bedding. Just looking for opinions, all considerations welcome. Also I've been considering crowning the barrel, is it worth it?
Thanks!
Thanks!
