Pls. help me find a cheap forend for Norc CQA

I am looking into options for a cheap quadrail forend. I just can't afford the likes of a DD rail right now. I am aware of the UAG that's $30 but I would like one that is longer, either one with a FSP cutout so I don't have to get a low pro gas block or if there's one that's a longer free float, around 9-13" that would be good too. As far as I've seen, UAG only has the ones that drop in. I don't know all the manufacturers of rails and the ones I hear of are usually at the $200 - $400 range.

If Grizz is right I suggest skipping the quadrail unless you actually have a use for that rail space or are going to buy a free floated rail. I swapped to cheap aluminum quadrails on my first couple AR's and ended up taking them off. They just add weight to the rifle and are uncomfortable. The bolt on rail pieces available that are built for the stock forend are much better unless you are swapping to free float.

For cheap 2 piece quadrails just go on eBay for the lowest price.
For something better try Tier One Armory in Edmonton, they have some nice Troy ones for a good price.

Better then the rifle its going on....lol.
Rails are a little out if spec, clamp on accessories fit, slide on like AFG won't, may not line up 100% even with your receiver rail but will be close. For $50 or whatever.... Its not bad.
 
I've tried a couple of those rails available from ebay...one regular drop in carbine and one rifle length free float. I think the rifle length one is a TacVector. Both have picatinny rails that are just a little bit off spec, so some attachments are super tight or won't go on at all. For the price I paid, it's okay...

Lol Good To Hear It's Not Absolutely Useless Or Anything Like That. I Just Rolled The Dice Last Night On A 12" Free Float. It's Coming From China So I Guess I'll Find Out In Three Weeks When I Get It.

Try an AIM handguard. A sponsor here had them. They are uber cheap. I can't comment on the how good, bag or ugly they are since I have not seen one, handled one or installed one. But for the $ have a look.
 
My freefloat 12" is on my JRC...lines up fine, but rails slightly out of spec as previously mentioned. Looks just like Hitzy's above, but longer.

Yeah I was looking for a longer FF like 10 - 12". Tier One is hard to catch, they're only open on two days a week and different hours. I work shift work that's why it's hard for me. How much are the Troy ones? I just find it hard to spend $300 for a rail when the gun is $500 lol. I feel like I'd rather save that for an optic.

lol can you file the rails to make stuff fit better?
 
Yeah, from Tacvector....it's not perfect, but not bad for the price. It's definately solid....
My set screw didn't line up, but I just ground it down and used lock tite on the threads of the barrel but. Rail is about 1.5mm lower then the receiver rail but still works fine.
