PLS REMOVE - What 1911 .45 should i buy? Help!

I just got the Sig 1911 C3 compact. Best 1911 I have ever owned. My para was ####, my kimber was good but with ####ty parts on it from the factory,never owned a S&W or taurus but I am sure someone will chime in about it, and with that said all I own now are Sigs.
I HIGHLY recommend taking a good look at the Sigs.

Now i have surfed the web for all the reviews and i now know that there is no "perfect" 1911 out there. Just when i thought i have decided, some odd negative review comes out.
My purpose for the 1911 is for stock target shooting. I will not replace any part unless it fails or breaks.
Also, any of you heard about the 1911 BUL-M5? It's a polymer framed 1911 made in Israel and has good feedback.

That said the S&W (a fine pistol) and the SIG both deviate from normal 1911 design in that they have external extractors. S&W got it right however some research will show SIG has had some problems doing so.

how much are you looking to spend OP ?
Sigs are great, but if you want easily accessible parts and accessories, I would stick with the standard 1911 (ie colt, kimber, norinco). Sigs are also more expensive, but I wouldn't let that hold you back... sometimes, you do get what you pay for love sig.

Of the ones you listed, Colt for sure.
If you take a Colt to a good smith and get it dehorned it should be a great pistol. Or run a few thousand rounds through it, that may wear it in. A smith is cheaper than 60 boxes of .45ACP though.
Springfield Loadeds are also pretty good 1911s.

Taurus...quality control is on par with ParaOrdnance, parts are on par with entry level RIA, assembly is on par with Norinco. Avoid like the plague.

Maybe the very first gen of them but now that they have been out for a couple of years they have been fixed/perfected.
i have had a 2 fte cuz of limp wristing, compact model so you really have to hold on. 600+ rounds through her as she is only a month old.
X2 i have owned MANY sigs and the customer service has helped me out in the past.
you may not like it but that doesn't mean it's not true...the SIG 1911s have had lots of issues which is not surprising considering they use a totally unproven extraction system and SIG has no experience building 1911s.
Additionally, the early SIG 1911s had tons of issues sending out mismatched parts and loads of them had to be returned. That's really unfortunate given the fact that SIG's service department seems to be in the habit of fixing stuff wrong these days.
And it is no secret that SIG's QC department has gone to the dogs. It is not the old days when SIGs were works of teutonic perfection. They used to have an extensive QC program in place but their standard is now just assemble and ship...literally they have abandoned their QC standards, not just fallen off. For a proven pistol like the 226 that may not cause serious issues. For an external-extractor 1911 from a company that doesn't build 1911s...well, some people like money in the hand and some people like scratch and win tickets.
Obviously you just bought a SIG 1911 and that's terrific...but holding a gun in your hand and being impressed with it is not the be all and end all of pistol evaluation.
