Does anyone on here hunt coyotes in Nova Scotia? I'm trying to interpret the laws, so here is what I "see":

***It appears that coyotes can be hunted all year.

1. I only need a conservation stamp, unless noted otherwise.
2. I can use a .23 or smaller centerfire, or a .22 rimfire, from Oct 15th thru Mar 31st.
3. I must wear orange, from Oct 1st thru the end of the general deer season.
4. I can use a "deer" rifle or shotgun, with slugs, from the start of the general deer season thru Mar 31st, with a deer license.
5. I can use a "deer" rifle or shotgun, with slugs, during bear season, with a bear license.

Generally speaking, I know that the gun, and ammo I use, also have to correspond with those that are approved to hunt game, during the open season for that game. So now my questions:
a. What gun(s) can I use between Apr 1st, and the start of bear season?
b. What ammo can I use in the gun(s) from a.?
c. Other than the general deer season, when is buckshot legal?
d. If I'm using a shotgun, but NOT using "birdshot" that is legal for small game, do I need a small game license beginning Oct 1st?

Thanks folks:)
