Please post up your builds everyone, It's always great to see and learn from other people's ideas and creations. That's what inspired me.

Haven't done too many mods to my 1301 yet - even bone stock they are a great gun!
Nordic mag extension, Mesa Urbino so far
Thinking of an Airidus CROM for the co witness ability, and I like the look of the fore-end they offer (pricey tho!)

It's a fantastic SG right out of the box indeed, what a beauty!

The CROM was a great addition as was the mag ext. Yes the Zukhov is pricey, thinking now that the 1301T has gained popularity perhaps some other aftermarket manufacturers will get on-board.

I have the extended/ported Beretta chokes, which chokes are you using?

So, I wondered myself what choke I had when I received it - it was weird looking in that it sticks out past the end of the barrel by an inch or better and has external threads (I’ve wrapped them in black tape to protect them)
Turns out, it is designed to accept a breaching device, this style of choke was not intended to be shipped with the gun
There’s a thread on arf about it

I remember BUSA selling it over a year ago as a Warehouse clearout, this is what the Choke/Breech unit looked like.

I'm using these;

May I ask why you chose this specific choke ?
I’m still using the one that came with, but I’m always on the look out for something different…

I wasn’t needing a (breaching) choke and I always try to look for the OEM (factory) parts accessories first before the aftermarket, the OCHP are quality high strength steel, these chokes guarantee significant corrosion resistance and have the ability to withstand the rigors of steel shot. Optima-Choke® HP tubes are fully interchangeable on all Beretta barrels that are threaded for Optima-Choke® HP

It's always beneficial to know exactly what the SG can achieve at different distances, and what specific choke does what at those different distances in regards to (spread).

All that plus I had a discount code for Stoeger Canada and they were on sale.

I appreciate all the details, 1ABNDT !

But more specifically why did you chose to use extended/ported chokes ?

My bad, 1) Improved patterns due to wad retardation, 2) lowered recoil, and 3) less muzzle jump. For me only having the luxury of operating the SG with only 1 arm, 2 and 3 are extremely important for me. As is the Hydraulic Buffer Tube.

Once again, thank you for the details !
I greatly appreciate your input.

I’ll be in the market for one now !

So you decided against the CROM eh, whats you're reasoning?

Nothing wrong with that setup works fine, although I was looking for something in my opinion that will be more beneficial/easier for me to operate my SG effectively/efficiently as possible.

So I am going with the Primary Arms SLx Rotary Knob 25mm Microdot with ACSS-CQB Red Dot Illuminated Reticle. No more guessing hold-over.
