The storm is already restricted... So you just need to tell the cfc you've changed the barrel length.

I don't have a jr but I do have a storm (mines in .40) I love it.

I have 1 in 45 and non restricted its not bad even with the 18.5 inch barrel in it.. not bad at all..

I want a Storm. I called Stoeger Canada the other day and they have no 9mm or 45ACP models on hand. They have some on order but had no idea as when they would arrive.

I just bought a JRC and it broke before I had even fired a single round from it. No...I will not buy another.

I'm sure you need to let Cfc Know you changed your barrel length... That information shows up on the firearm certicate.

And you can not cut the barrel if is 18.5" or shorter. Not even a gunsmith. If you do cut it and it is shorter than 18.5"... You have a prohibited firearm.

You can buy a factory barrel which is shorter than 18.5" and put on the firearm.

I have the JR in 9mm and the Storm in 9mm. They work great The JR has around two thousand rounds through it with out an issue. Same with the Storm.

Have you considered the Thureon Defence? Its pretty solid but some find it wicked ugly. I think its neat looking. My 45 is new but seems very well built. Ithink you can get a lefty in them now although that might harder in Canada

Love my JR. No probs at all in 9mm. Super easy switch to lefty. Wanted a storm when they first came out but didn't want restricted. When JR came out NR with glock mags it was a no brainer for me. I've heard of troubles with the .45's but zero with the 9's

Didn't Beretta stop making the Storm in .45acp a few years ago?

The Storm shares magazines with Beretta pistols depending on which mag well adaptor it has.

I have a non restricted Storm in .40. Its a great gun and a blast to shoot but expensive to get a non restricted one. I only wish we could get the Sierrapapa trigger upgrade in Canada.
