Figured it out, I forgot I had switched stocks and had a rifle length spring in the buffer tube instead of a carbine length, switched them out and problem solved!!!!
Hey guys, im still new at the AR scene and i got an LMT MRP upper. So it worked perfectly first time out, then i took it home and stripped it down to the bare bones and lubed and cleaned everything, put it back together. The issue im having is the bolt wont hold open on an empty magazine. Out of 150rds today the bolt held open on maybe 2 or 3 mags. and when i pull the bolt back and engage the catch, the bolt doesnt go all the way back. not sure how to explain but i took a pic. If i insert a mag with the bolt held open, i cannot just press the bolt release, i have to pull back on the charging handle to chamber a round.

Its gotta be something ive done, because it worked just fine the first time out.
